How to play lotto
- Lotto rules.
- Elements that form part of a lotto game.
- Objective of Lotto.
A lotto ticket consists of numbers from 1 to 49. In order to play, you must mark six of them of your choice. If you do not wish to choose numbers, the computer terminal can choose a six-number combination randomly for you. In order to win the jackpot, all of the six numbers must match; if you manage to match five numbers and the bonus number, you still get the second highest prize. Match five, four or three numbers to win smaller prizes.
Once you have completed the lottery ticket with the marked numbers, take it to your local lottery Terminal where someone will enter your selections into the Terminal and give you a Lotto/Lottery Game ticket. You must then make sure that the information it has is correct; that is, your numbers, the days you wish to play, the number of weeks and the draw date.
Make sure to verify that the bar-coded serial number on your ticket is easily readable and, when applicable, check that the “void” box hasn’t been marked. Once this is done, keep your ticket away in a safe place. It is completely necessary in order to claim your prize, as it is the only way of proving that you are the loto winner.
